John E. Robertson, 72
Sep 1, 2017Robertson, 72, of Blairs Mills, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at his home.Born Jan. 25, 1945, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Helen Best Peterson and John Hayes Robertson.A 1963 graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School, John went on to work at Letterkenny Army Depot for 33 years, retiring as a motor pool supervisor in 1998.He enjoyed farming all his life, raising beef cattle and quarter horses.He is survived by his children, William Nicholas “Nick” Robertson (wife Sherri) of Blairs Mills, and Beth David (husband Shai) of Greencastle, Pa.; three grandchildren, Claudia, Casandra and Caylen, all of Greencastle; his life partner, Modesta Kerlin of Blairs Mills; a nephew, Barry Slusser; and a stepbrother, William Ivan Peterson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, William Ivan Peterson.Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, 589 Brick Church Road, East Waterford, Pa. The Rev. Alice Meloy and the Rev. Merry Hope Meloy will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, Pa. (Herald-Mail Media)
